Dear Ireland,
There’s something about your roads—how they twist and turn like old stories passed down in quiet pubs. We came looking for castles and coastlines, but found something else: stillness in your hills, laughter in your roundabouts, and the thrill of getting lost somewhere beautiful. You don’t just change the map. You change the pace of the heart. And somehow, that feels like coming home.
— With love,
Someone learning to drive a little slower, and live a little deeper.

“Ryan’s Daughter” I believe is an incredible movie for historical content, amazing actors and UNBELIEVABLE scenery.
“Philomena” is an incredible movie, which totally revealed what Catholic Ireland was like ‘back in the day’. Flawless performances exposing ‘cruel’ injustices to young pregnant girls whose parents were afraid of ‘the powers that be’.
“Small things like these”
Slow moving start.
Excellent performance by Cillian Murphy. He really ‘got into’ the ‘role’ of a child born to a single mum in rural Ireland ; a young hard-working dad who feared for his daughters growing up under ‘Catholic’ rule…
( I’m 100% Irish (have lived in USA for 30 years). I love my country, but the things that took place in the name of GOD, should never have happened…or ever be allowed again! )

Driving the Wild Atlantic Way
If you're dreaming of wild waves, quiet beaches, and a road trip with stories at every stop—this one’s for you. The stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way that runs through Sligo and Mayo is one of Ireland’s best-kept secrets. It’s a place where you can climb a hill to find a queen’s grave, dip your toes in the freezing sea (if you're brave!), and maybe even spot a dolphin or two.
This part of Ireland is less crowded, full of natural beauty, and packed with little surprises—like seaweed baths, ancient ruins, and pubs where you’re always greeted like an old friend.
