I’d dreamed of going to Ireland since I was a child sitting on my grandfather’s lap listening to his stories of his beloved homeland. Life and its difficulties got in the way, but my eldest daughter took me there last year for my 80th birthday.
It was all I had hoped it would be. The indescribable beauty of its mountains and valleys, the waves crashing against the cliffs at Slea Head, and the warmth of its people.
My soul recognized it as home and I never wanted to leave.
