Irish man takes “play this at my funeral” to a whole new level
Shay Bradley, a Kilkenny native from Ireland, pulled off a hilarious final prank during his own funeral by playing a prerecorded message just as his coffin was being lowered into the ground. His daughter Andrea posted a video clip of the scene on Sunday, in which Shay can be heard knocking on wood and crying out, "Let me out! It’s so dark in here! I’m in the box!"
The video reveals laughter from the attendees as Bradley humorously expresses his discomfort with his final resting place, even sprinkling in some curse words.
"Can I hear the priest? Let me out! Let me the hell out!" he shouted, before breaking into the song "I Just Called to Say Goodbye" by Larry Boone. Bradley, a 62-year-old father, grandfather, and veteran of the Irish Defence Force, passed away on October 8. His unforgettable final prank is sure to be cherished by his loved ones for many years.
This is termed as making a "stylish" exit!
Ensuring everyone at your funeral is smiling. This is unique to Ireland. Irish humor may seem odd for those not native to Ireland. Only an Irish person could deliver a joke with a serious expression to another Irish individual, who understands the humor but remains expressionless. This type of wit, known as dry humour, is a common leisure activity in Ireland.
Other tales, typically set in a pub, are often embellished, leading to robust laughter. It can be challenging to discern when an Irishman is jesting or being honest, but watch for the sparkle in his eye.

The Scottish accent is recognised for its deep, broad tones, while the Irish accent is considered lighter and more melodious.
