1. St. Patrick’s Holy Well Clonmel:
Located just outside the town of Clonmel St. Patrick's Holy Well is one of Ireland's most famous and largest holy wells.
Legend has it that St. Patrick himself stopped there and the site remains a place of pilgrimage and historic interest. It includes a holy well and an ancient stone cross.
2. Mitchelstown Caves:
Discovered in 1833 by a local farmer Michael Condon Mitchelstown Caves are considered some of the most spectacular caves in Ireland and among the finest limestone caves in Europe.
Visitors can take guided tours through the caves which feature three massive caverns.
3. The Glen of Aherlow:
Once a historic pass between Limerick and Tipperary the Glen of Aherlow is now a popular holiday destination.
It offers hiking paths, cycling trails, fishing spots, picnic areas and scenic viewpoints. One notable attraction is the Statue of Christ the King. The glen also has prehistoric and early Christian sites.
4. Bike Park Ireland:
If you're looking for adventure Bike Park Ireland in the northern part of Tipperary is a great option. Converted from a horse breeding and sheep farm this family-run destination offers all-levels mountain biking trails including downhill trails, an endurance climb and a large pump track.
The park is set in a picturesque area known as 'Hill of the Fairies' with folklore and history.
5. Rock of Cashel:
The Rock of Cashel is a spectacular complex of medieval buildings perched upon a limestone outcropping in Tipperary's Golden Vale. It has a rich history and is associated with St. Patrick.
The site features various historic structures including a round tower, Cormac's Chapel and a Cathedral. It's known for its stunning examples of Celtic art.
