A new study from Betway has ranked The Burren in County Clare, Ireland as the tenth most popular filming location to visit in 2024. The Burren is a captivating landscape on Ireland's west coast, featuring rocky pavements, caves, fossils, and flowers. The area is perhaps best known as the filming location for the cult classic sitcom Father Ted.
The Burren beat out filming locations for famous movies such as Good Will Hunting and The Shining. The top location was Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, the filming site for Jaws. Other popular destinations included filming locations for Inception, Breaking Bad, Skyfall, and La La Land.
While visitors can no longer enjoy tea at the Father Ted house, officially known as Glanquin Farmhouse, it still provides a great photo opportunity. The Burren is also located near the Cliffs of Moher and other scenic spots along the Wild Atlantic Way.
