With its intimidating bawn, Tully Castle was considered a powerful stronghold, so it’s no wonder that locals still talk in hushed tones of the dreaded incident even today. Needless to say, the castle has never been lived in again since then.
There are approximately 30,000 castles and castle ruins in Ireland, which is simply astonishing and means you can’t go far without a view of a romantic castle in the Emerald Isle!

Irish Food You Will Love
Soda Farls are a flat soda bread cut into four equal pieces cooked on a griddle or skillet as opposed to soda bread which is baked in the oven. It originates from Northern Ireland.
This is a basic 4 ingredient Farl Recipe. For a brown version replace half of the the flour with whole-wheat flour.
