The Titanic's Fateful Voyage Ended in Tragedy—But the Stories of Love and Sacrifice Live On!

The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that was built in Belfast, Ireland from 1911-1912. It was the largest ship afloat at the time and its grandeur set it apart from other vessels of its era. The Titanic departed on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City on April 10, 1912 with 2,223 people aboard, including passengers and crew. 

Unfortunately, the journey ended when it struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic on April 14th and sank. Of the 2,223 people aboard Titanic, only 706 survived this tragic event. The sinking of the Titanic was a major disaster that shocked the world and left its mark on history as one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. 

To this day, the story of Titanic continues to captivate people around the world. The wreck of Titanic was discovered in 1985, nearly 73 years after it sunk, and has since become a popular tourist site for deep sea divers and historians alike.  Today, Titanic is remembered not only for its grandeur and size, but also for the tragedy that occurred during its fateful voyage.
