"Possibly at night, there’d be a full moon there up all night and then sure, it’d be bright out. Now, could anyone walk up in the mountains with no lights on?" O'Shea pondered. His frustration is palpable as he recalls the missing sheep, emphasizing their significant monetary value.

Mikey's neighbor has also fallen victim to the sheep rustlers, missing about ten ewes himself. He describes the ease with which the thefts could be carried out: "It's not all that difficult. All you have to do is have a good dog, go at night, some moonshine night, just put the dog around them, put them on a trailer or walk 'em. And then, probably somebody else to pick 'em up. Whoever is doing it knows what he's doing."
